Team VL
Neither one of us enjoy writing about ourselves, and probably wouldn’t give ourselves enough credit for what we have achieved and what we are capable of, so we decided to write each others bios.
Sharne Perrett
Creative Mastermind!!
Starting out in the tool trade (yes I mean hardware, which may shock some of you), Sharne was a natural at building relationships, delivering high level customer service and presenting at trade shows. Eventually she realised that her passion was not in tools (funny about that), and decided to take the plunge and change her career.
She started as a photographer about 10 years ago, it was apparent very early she had huge talent in this space, and her successful photography business, Aria Photography, now speaks for itself.
Shooting up to 80 weddings a year wasn't enough for Sharne - she needed to challenge herself with something new, but still in the wedding space. She felt there was a gap in the market for a wedding fair that was more than just a meet and greet. She wanted to build strong community, create an event that even the guys wanted to attend and support her fellow peers in any way she could. The Valley Loves Wedding Fair was born and continues to grow strongly each year.
Sharne is extremely passionate about what she does - she has a massive heart for vendors, and constantly looks for ways to be better, which in turn spurs her on to think of new ways to support the community. Her brain works at a million miles an hour, and her ideas are like nothing I've seen before. No matter what skills I bring to the table, i'm not sure I'll ever keep up with her brain. She's an amazing Mumma to her little boy, and juggles her work and family life amazingly. It’s an honour to call her not just my business partner, but one of my closest mates.
Natalie White
This woman. What a force.
Nat is a strong and driven career woman. With a prior life in the education and event management space, Nat has been a Director for custom programs for a large and hugely reputable University in Melbourne.
She is a passionate project manager, people person, finance ninja, understands process, back end organisation and logic.
Nat is the most amazing listener, (she may ask you a heap of questions when you meet) but she is genuinely curious about people. She is the opposite to me in every way, I’m the emotional creative, the dreamer, she is the steadfast unfazed doer, she is my arse kicker, my logical friend, it’s a pretty perfect combo.
Nat loves her family more than life - happiness to her is entertaining friends and family at home with her hubby and two boys. She loves a drink (and we have had many over the years), great food, travel, sport and being with her little men and hubby when she isn’t working super hard for our business.
We have been good friends for many years, and our entrepreneurial spirit brings us to this journey together.
